Jana was born and raised in Germany, but has also been living in France and New York for the past 5 years. She has a Bachelor's degree in Music and Media as well as a Master's in Cultural Management. Jana taught Music, French and German at several schools in Germany and New York in the past years.

After having a child of her own here in New York, Jana knew she wanted her little one to be exposed to the German children's songs and rhymes she knew and loved from her childhood. But not only with her and her husband at home and the grandmas and grandpas on Skype, but with other kids, moms and dads here in New York.

That is how the idea for "MusiKinderlein New York" was born.
